1. Where can I learn how to sponsor a Rotaract club?
Go to the Sponsor a Rotaract Club section of My Rotary.
2. How can I verify that our club’s Rotaract club has an active status in Rotary’s records?
Consult the Listing of Club Sponsored Organizations report in Rotary Club Central. If a Rotaract club is missing, contact rotaract@rotary.org. Learn more in How to Update Rotaract and Interact Club Information.
3. How can my club co-sponsor a Rotaract club?
Up to three Rotary clubs may co-sponsor any Rotaract club in their district. Learn more in Interact and Rotaract: Sponsorship and Co-Sponsorship guide or by writing to rotaract@rotary.org.
4. How is this different from the previous goal?
Rotaract clubs can be either university-based or community-based. If your club sponsors a community-based Rotaract club, you will achieve both this goal and the previous goal.
5. How can I verify that our club’s Rotaract club is registered as a community-based club?
Consult the Listing of Club Sponsored Organizations report in Rotary Club Central and refer to the Club Base field. If a club is missing, contact rotaract@rotary.org.
6. Where can I learn how to sponsor an Interact club?
Go to the Sponsor an Interact Club page of My Rotary. Look for it under Take Action, then Empower Leaders.
7. How can I verify that our club’s Interact club is active in Rotary’s records?
Consult the Listing of Club Sponsored Organizations report in Rotary Club Central. Learn more in How to Update Rotaract and Interact Club Information. If a club is missing, contact interact@rotary.org.
8. How can my club co-sponsor an Interact club?
Up to three Rotary clubs may co-sponsor any Interact club located in their district. Contact interact@rotary.org to learn more or review Interact and Rotaract: Sponsorship and Co-Sponsorship.
9. What qualifies as mentoring?
A mentor is a Rotarian assigned to a Rotaractor or Interactor to provide guidance and support in vocational, leadership, or Rotary matters. The purpose of this goal is to encourage one-on-one connections between Rotarians and Rotaractors or Interactors. Report this accomplishment in Rotary Club Central in the Service tab, under 2016-17 Presidential Citation Goals. Learn more in Interact and Rotaract: Sponsorship and Co-Sponsorship.
10. What type of involvement counts toward this requirement?
Involve Rotaract and Interact members in activities that build their leadership skills and strengthen connections between clubs, such as working together on a service project, presenting at a district conference, attending a club or district committee meeting, or planning a community event. Report this accomplishment in Rotary Club Central in the Service tab, under 2016-17 Presidential Citation Goals.
11. How do I sponsor a Rotary Youth Exchange student?
Learn how your club can sponsor a Youth Exchange student on the Start an Exchange page. Or contact your district Youth Exchange chair to find out how your club can get involved. Report this accomplishment in Rotary Club Central under the Service tab for Youth Program Participants.
12. How do I host an exchange student?
Learn how to host a youth exchange student on the Start an Exchange page. Or contact your district Youth Exchange chair to find out how your club can get involved. Report this accomplishment in Rotary Club Central in the Service tab, under Youth Program Participants.
13. How do I sponsor a participant in a RYLA event?
Contact your district RYLA chair to find opportunities for sponsoring participants in RYLA events in your district or as part of a multidistrict event. Report this accomplishment in Rotary Club Central in the Service tab, under Youth Program Participants.
14. My club hosts a RYLA event. Does that count?
Yes, simply report the accomplishment in Rotary Club Central in the Service tab, under Youth Program Participants.
